Thank You, Parents!
A big thank you to all of our wonderful parents who attended the Grades 1-5 parent night! Your presence and engagement mean so much to us, and we are excited to work together for a successful school year. We also want to express our gratitude to our dedicated teachers for preparing exciting plans and activities to welcome you and your children. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
September Lunch and Breakfast Menus
The lunch and breakfast menus for September are now available. Please take a moment to review the options for your child by scrolling below. A nutritious meal is key to a productive day of learning, so we appreciate your attention to this.
Attention 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Parents
If you completed the Chromebook agreement forms, authorized Chromebooks started going home with your child on Tuesday, September 3rd. For those who still need to fill out the forms, please visit the office as soon as possible to ensure your child can participate in the program.
Note: If your family is PCS’ing, your child will need to keep their Chromebook at school starting five days before their last day.
Please remember to:
- Ensure your child charges their Chromebook nightly.
- Make sure it is brought back to school each day for classroom use.
This is a vital part of our digital learning initiative, and we appreciate your support in keeping your child prepared.

Hello AES Parents,
Your children will be spending the school year learning Italian Language and Culture with Signor Trevisan and Maestra Isabella. All the materials and resources will be available on our Host Nation website, which is introduced on the next page. This will allow you to follow your children’s progress throughout the year and learn alongside them.
Our teaching philosophy aims to spark our students’ interest and curiosity about Italian Language and Culture through various teaching strategies, methods, technological media, and engaging role-play activities. These approaches are designed to help them learn while having fun.
You can find the Host Nation Standards by clicking here. These standards are also simplified into student-friendly language through the “I Can Do Statements” presented at the beginning of each lesson.
While the first lessons will focus on our classroom expectations and procedures, the following lessons will revolve around common themes that will be developed over each rotation. Some of these themes include: Italian Passport, Happy Birthday, The Calendar, Italian Traditional Festivities, Italian History and Geography, and many others.

Children should not be brought to school before 7:45 a.m. as there is no adult supervision before that time. All children who ride the bus will be put on their bus to go home unless a signed note is received, or a parent meets the child at the school. It is the responsibility of the parents or guardians to notify the school every time a student is absent. |
